It is printed linoleum cut wood beginners? Or are they more or less the same.?
So I've been doing for some linoleum prints time, and I wondered when I graduate to the impressions of wood, that is, if I do it at all. Print out the archaic wooden or linoleum now because they are more respected? Any help would be awesome. Thanks
They are similar art forms, but different. The wood is harder to carve because it has grain. But I reckon can do the finest work because it's harder, at least in wooden blocks seem to have more detail than linoleum blocks I've seen. Also, the grain really contributes to the image sometimes can see the grain in the print. Lineoleum Both blocks and wood are "archaic". Wooden blocks were at one time the main form of illustrations in books and newspapers. But they are not considered obsolete in the same way that we do not consider oil painting obsolete.
